An independent Siemens subsidiary is opened in Seoul with Eisenberg & Co. and Gold Star Co. Ltd., which in 1971 becomes Siemens Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd.

The joint venture Gold Star Tele-Electric Co. Ltd. (GST) is founded with Gold Star Communications Co. Ltd.; Siemens and Gold Star receive a major order for local and toll exchanges in South Korea.

The company receives an order to supply the electrical equipment for the locks in Seoul harbor; Gold Star Tele-Electric is listed on the stock exchange.

Siemens and Gold Star Tele-Electric receive an order for electrical railway signaling equipment for the metropolitan area of Seoul.

Gold Star Tele-Electric Co. Ltd. is renamed Gold Star Telecommunication Co. Ltd.
