The technical office is publicly incorporated as Elektriska Aktiebologot Siemens-Schuckert Sähkö Osakeyhtiö.

Installation of the first automatic telephone exchange in Helsinki.
1936
Construction of the first telephone factory in Helsinki.
1967
A contract is signed between the Helsinki Telephone Association and Siemens for the supply and installation of telephone switching equipment.
1970
Order for what is currently the largest signal box in Finland. Supply of 138 electrically driven switches and 140 shunting signals.
1972
The Regional Company in Finland is renamed Siemens Osakeyhtiö.
1978
The Finnish Regional Company plans, supplies and installs the entire lighting system at the Lahti ski stadium in preparation for the World Ski Championships.
1982
Startup of the first EWSD exchange in Helsinki.
1998
Working closely with the Finnish network provider HPY, Siemens supplies the required infrastructure for the “Internet telephony” pilot project
2003
Siemens builds a nationwide GSM-Railway mobile network in Finland.
2006
Siemens and Nokia form the joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks, with headquarters in Finland
2007
In a consortium with Aveda, Siemens builds Finland’s fifth nuclear power plant, the country’s biggest industrial investment to date
