In cooperation with Siemens LLC, Russia, Siemens Uzbekistan worked on launching the water technologies business in the Uzbek market and implementing Siemens VAI solutions for the country’s metal industry. Siemens offers a wide range of solutions and services in Uzbekistan. In fiscal 2011, Siemens in Uzbekistan scored major successes in all three Sectors: Industry, Energy and Healthcare.
In fiscal 2011 (October 1, 2010 – September 30, 2011), sales to customers in Uzbekistan amounted to EUR 1.62 million and new orders totaled EUR 3.83 million.
The company has been active in the country since 1891, when telegraph equipment was supplied to the Central Asian Railway company. In 1904, the first telephone system with 200 lines was constructed in Tashkent with Siemens’ participation. The latest chapter of the company’s history in Uzbekistan began in 1995 with the opening of the Representative Office of Siemens AG in Tashkent. Siemens in Uzbekistan, located in Tashkent, has had the status of a Representative Office of Siemens LLC, Russia, since 2009.
The Healthcare Sector is the leading supplier of medical technologies and diagnostic equipment for medical facilities in Uzbekistan. Healthcare is represented by Medconcept LLC, an authorized Siemens partner that supplied several ultrasound and x-ray systems to private and public hospitals in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
