In fiscal 2011 (October 1, 2010 – September 30, 2011), Siemens’ sales to customers in Singapore amounted to EUR 317.07 million and new orders totaled EUR 557.19 million. Siemens currently has about 2,000 employees in Singapore.

Siemens’ activities in Singapore date back to 1908, when the company opened a technical office to provide sales support for London-based Siemens Brothers Dynamo Works Ltd. Today, the company continues to be a major investor and a key player in Singapore’s engineering, electronics, biomedical and media industries.

Siemens won contracts to install a multi sorter system at the Singapore Post Center and supply a baggage handling system for the country’s International Cruise Terminal, the largest facility of its kind in Asia-Pacific.
The company was given the go-ahead to begin the construction of a 800-MW combined-cycle power plant at Singapore’s new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.
Siemens was awarded a multi-modality contract with one of the region's largest integrated private healthcare providers to supply imaging equipment for five countries across Asia.
