Siemens has been active in Serbia in different areas for 125 years. The operation of the Siemens Subotica factory plays a significant role in the development of the local economy. Thanks to its specific production portfolio, it has earned Siemens Serbia a respectable place among the top ten exporters in Serbia.
In fiscal 2011 (October 1, 2010 – September 30, 2011), Siemens’ sales to customers in Serbia amounted to more than EUR 78 million and new orders totaled approximately EUR 109.7 million. Siemens currently has almost 600 employees in Serbia.
Siemens has been present in Serbia for 125 years and established its headquarters in Belgrade in 1996. One of the most important breakthrough projects in 2011 was the PCS 7 for the Bor copper mining and smelting complex. The Oil & Gas Division’s success with the jetty modernization project for the Pancevo oil refinery helped IA&DT win its largest Motor Control Center (MCC) project. Siemens intensively participated the construction of the new boiler room in the FIAT factory in Serbia where we delivered the most advanced technologies making it one of the most advanced factory boiler rooms in the country.
