Siemens continued implementing an order to supply 35 Inspiro trains for the Warsaw Metro, its largest order in Poland to date. Demonstrating its social responsibility, Siemens supported Polish art and culture with a variety of activities.
In fiscal 2012 (October 1, 2011 – September 30, 2012), Siemens’ sales to customers in Poland amounted to almost EUR 460.5 million and new orders totaled approximately EUR 464 million. Siemens currently has about 2,170 employees in Poland.
Siemens Sp. z o.o. has operated as a legal entity in Poland since 1991 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2011. As a good corporate citizen, Siemens in Poland supports business-oriented initiatives as well as social and cultural projects. For the second time, Siemens participated in prophylactic healthcare projects. In 2012, the company conducted a research project on prophylactic healthcare projects targeted at men.
In fiscal 2012, the Siemens Award was presented for the 17th time to Polish scientists and university students studying automation.

In fiscal 2012, the Industry Sector continued to supply a wide range of products and services to some of Poland’s largest companies such as PKN Orlen, Tauron, PGNiG, GDF Suez, Cargill and Askom.
