Siemens’ Healthcare Sector signed a contract valued at more than EUR 7.5 million – the largest in Healthcare history for Siemens in Norway. The project involves the delivery of magnetic resonance (MR) and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) equipment to the regional hospitals in the western and northern parts of the country. Siemens is responsible for the power supply to the new metro line between Bekkestua and Kolsås and will also deliver and install new complete rectifier stations on this line. The value of the contract is EUR 5.6 million.
In fiscal 2012 (October 1, 2011 – September 30, 2012), Siemens’ sales to customers in Norway amounted to almost EUR 729 million and new orders totaled nearly EUR 760 million.
