Siemens has been active in the Montenegro since 2000. The country has particularly good business prospects in the area of infrastructure modernization. Siemens delivered various services and spare parts for the Pljevlja thermal power plant, the only thermal power plant in Montenegro and the main power generation plant of the Montenegrin power system.
In fiscal 2012 (October 1, 2011 – September 30, 2012), Siemens’ sales to customers in Montenegro amounted to more than EUR 7.4 million and new orders totaled nearly EUR 6 million. Siemens Montenegro currently has 5 employees.
Siemens has been present in Montenegro with its products and solutions for quite some time. In 2000, it established a Representative Office in the country. In 2005, the Regional Company Siemens d.o.o. Podgorica was founded as a legal entity in Montenegro.
The Sector’s most important projects include the delivery of equipment for substation 35/10 kV Rozino and the 10 kV switchgear in substation 110/10 kV Podgorica 4. In addition, it continues to implement the building management system, smart garage system and the entire ultra-low-voltage installation for the Atlas Capital Center in Podgorica, a large high-end commercial, retail and residential complex.
