This year, Siemens Egypt is celebrating its 110th anniversary. Siemens offers a wide range of solutions and services in Egypt, where its Industry, Energy and Healthcare Sectors occupy leading positions. In fiscal 2011, Siemens in Egypt scored major successes in all three Sectors.
The history of Siemens in Egypt dates back to 1859, when Siemens implemented its first turn-key project. In 1901, Siemens opened its first technical office in Cairo. In 1992, Siemens Limited was established to handle all Siemens sales and service activities in Egypt. Since October 1998, Siemens Limited has been a consolidated Regional Company, with the goal of further expanding and strengthening Siemens’ business relations with Egypt. On October 1, 2008, Siemens Limited became Siemens S.A.E.
For the second time, Siemens supplied five major universities across Egypt – Ain Shams, Menofia, Assiut, South Valley and Cairo Universities (National Cancer Institute) – with products for interventional radiology and cardiology.
