As a pioneer in the construction of high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) systems, Siemens has reached an agreement to supply key components for the two important HVDC transmission projects – Nuozhadu-Guangdong and Xiluodu-Guangdong, in southern China. The two projects will generate eco-friendly CO2-free electricity for low-loss transmission by the two new HVDC systems to the megacities of Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Dongguan and Shenzhen.
